Been two weeks in the army now... this is my second time on leave. Next week is easter so when thursday pops up, ill have almost 10 days off. which is good :)

So far, i can handle it easily, most of the sergents are as dumb as a piece of wood, so as long as you do as they say, they're quite easily handled. The food is terrible, i live in a room with 12 guys, so when friday pops by, i really need my gf.... :D

Got my gun too.... M-96... but you americans wont recognize that name, its a newer version of the m-16 (a colt or something).... we'll be hitting the rifle range next week, im kinda looking forward to it, our first day in the field will be next week as well, loking forward to that as well. Both should be great fun.

... maybe i can pop by more often, i spotted some comps at the YMCA on the grounds, but dont count on it.

had our first day on the rifle range.... shooting guns is not overrated, in fact, its nice to know you can blow someones head off from 200 meters 5 out of 5 times.

First day in the field as well, nothing special though just a few tests in "crawling through mud" (yeah, our sergeants didnt think it was appropriate for us to have rain-coats on, so they sent us (as the only ones through 5 meters of mud)... but it was good fun, passed the test to go on guard duty with my gun, passed a test to get allowed to throw hand grenades (lame test (the handgrenade one)).

nothing much has happened besides that.

nope... we just had to throw this metal thing 20 metres (small device with a fuse and some form of explosive) it could still blow your hand off i think.

A hand grenade could do a little more than blow your hand off....
A firecracker can blow your hand off....a hand grenade can blow you up, this is why the military has them, to kill people  :)

Upon further reflection, that would make more sense :)

Bah! Training should be conducted with live weapons and the most powerful grenades you can get your hands on! If you don't survive, you weren't cut out for the military :D
