Virus help

I have the W32.funlove.4099 virus on my system. I have manged to clean it out except 1 file which wont clear, all I can do is quarantene. or delete

the file is C:\windows\system\flcss.exe

does anyone know what it is for? is it safe to delete?

I do have a feeling that it could be something, if windows says you can't delete it usaully means it's being used

Well i don't have too much experience on viruses, but as Alpha said it sounds like its being used by windows then.

Try ctrl-alt-delete and just end that program and then try and delete it. Failing that go to msconfig and disable it from start up for there, then after you restart try deleting it.

I think it's a service. (a program that doesn't appear in alt-cntrl-del and MSconfig

cleared it, the clever little **** writes a new code into the registry so that u think its clear but as soon as u reboot it spreades thru the system. I got a utility from PCillin.com which clears it out, mind u Outlook express is screwed:mad:
