*Continued from that other thread*
As I was saying, You have no idea what has been happening with me in the past 6 and a half months, and you look like a complete retard trying to tell me I don't have friends. I have pleanty of friends over here, and as a matter of fact I go out with them quite frequently. Unlike yours, my friends are not redneck fat hicks out in the woods with nothing to do but obsess over their small lives, act stupid, and try to, in some small way, feel important. I have my own life, and the details of my own life are absolutely none of your business, I just figured I'd post this and make you look like the dumbass you are.
What amuses me most, is that you really have no life whatsoever. You think you do, but you really don't. You have no idea what the real world is like. You're isolated out there in the woods. I know you're type of people...hell half my relatives are just like you...you lead a small life, in a small town, and you think you and your surroundings are more important than they really are. I know you wont believe me, but having lived in cities of millions, and towns of less than 5000, I know the different ways of life, I know the different types of people, the different cultures. To be honest, you live in one fo the most pathetic types of culture's I've ever had the mispleasure of experienceing. Sure, you're going to try and say that small town USA is different than small town Canada, but it's not. There are always minor differences, but in the end it's the same thing. I pitty you, for living the small, insignificant life that you do. When you move out of there, and into some city, and I sincerely hope you do, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. It'll be a shock, living somewhere that actualy matters.
I've said my peice.
Booyah!

Is that the best you can do???
Before I respond to your idiocy, let me get something off my chest first... WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?? You (and a few others) oughta shut your damn mouth and show me some proper respect. Alllllllll throughout TOP I was the only person who ever stood up for you at all... the ONE vote to get you into the SOL, and the only person who would EVER come to your defense in any flames, even when I knew the others were right. So now you go and turn on me because I'm easy prey? Because your pimp Zaou told you to? I'm STILL defending your sorry *** around these boards because in some cases (getting rarer and rarer all the time) you are right, and NOBODY ELSE WILL admit it! I have been the one voice saying "don't ban Riker you fools", and this is how you repay me??
I just LOVE your point about how I have no idea how you spent your past seven months... yet somehow you know how I spent mine?? I KNOW you aren't in PEI, my igloo comment is universal to all Canada, as you should well know. You think that just cuz you live in a city and spell your name wrong it makes you a big man? You think just cuz you go galavanting around with people who you think are your friends it makes you cool? Think Again! *ATTENTION* Here comes the part you'll love... the part where I flame myself... I don't go out with my friends very often? Not because I have none, and not because I'm not invited, but because I don't want to. I am a strongly introverted person, and Id much rather spend my free time alone than around others. Although I do live in the middle of nowhere, I spend over half of my day in Corvallis, which, although not as big as Toronto or something isn't quite a smalltown. Very few of my friends are "hicks" and I'm the only one that lives out in the woods.
As for me thinking I have a life... nope! I'm quite aware of how pathetic my life may seem to others. I spend my days sleeping, daydreaming and playing video games. Pathetic? Maybe... but it works for me. Keeps me going adequatley and that's my goal... if I didn't like it, Id go out with friends or something to change it, but so far its working fine. You don't know "my type of people" because I am NOT in any "type" and anyone who actually knows me well could tell you that. Your argument that being in a small town means I live a small life is just stupid. I could say that I lead a larger life than you simply because in my town I make up a much greater percentage of the total people than you do, and a greater percentage probably know me. Its just a stupid, pointless argument. I don't care where youve lived, or what you think you know. You haven't lived HERE and you don't know ME so just shut your damn mouth already!!

And still, you wont believe it. I'm not trying to say I know you personally, I'm saying that I know the kind of culture you were born and raised in, and generaly people turn out more or less the way their surroundings shape them. You live in the woods, thats a fact. You were born and raised out there, thats a fact. Even GoF (no offense intended) realizes that there are major differences between the culture in cities of millions, and the 'culture' in towns of thousands, hundreds in your case probably. I lived on PEI for 2 years, I met hundreds of people while I was there, and every one of them acted like some mindless automiton. Why? Small town culture. They all, no matter what season, wore jeans and a sweatshirt. They all spoke with the same slang, they all found the same things funny, they all acted almost exactly the same. Yes, there were a few that stood out amoungst the crowd, but only a few. I Know what the small town life is like, and the small town life ranscends borders. Just by the way we used to talk over ICQ, I can tell you are just like alot of other small town people. You think small, you act small, you do small.
Whether you go to school in that town of 50 000 is irrelavent. Visiting there every day is not the same s living there. You just don't get it. I'm not pulling any of this out of my ***. I have moved 11 times. I've lived all over the eastern half of Canada, in the last 5 years I have been to 7 different schools. You wont realize this, cos I know from living around small town people that you just wont accept anything is as different as it is elsewhere. I know from experience how small you people think, as compared to cities of hundreds of thousands, cities of millions. I will freely admit, as is always the case, there are exceptions to this general rule, and it's possible you're one of these exceptions, but from the conversations we've had, I'm pretty sure you're not. You will know exactly what I'm talking about if you ever move to some big city (I'm talking millions of people here), but until then I know this is all falling on deaf ears. You're in for one hell of a culture shock when you go into a big city. Visiting is not the same as living, so don't try to tell me you know what I'm on about cos you've been to a big city before, cos you don't.
As for my flaming you for "no reason"? The entire reason this thread was started was cos I was sick and tired of you bull****ting all over this board about me. If you want a truce, thats fine by me, but I wont put up with someone bull****tign about me on here.

Yes, there were a few that stood out amoungst the crowd, but only a few.No offense taken. You're right. Everyone in my area acts the same way and does the same things. There are a few that stand out, and because they live in a place like this, they're a lot less outspoken and a lot more tolerant about it than I would expect somewhere else...e.g. the "goths" don't go out and kill the "preps"...just because they're that way.
To a point, I like it better that way. I would honestly take living here over living in a large city any day of the week...but I would take living in a place like this where alcohol and drugs weren't so ubiquitous even more quickly.
I figured since you mentioned me I might as well comment on what you got me involved with. ;)

That is, of course, a matter of personal preference. You were born and raised there, logicly you will perfer the small towns. I spent my entire childhood in the second largest city in Canada, and my early teens in the largest, so obviously I would perfer the larger cities. This brings me to another point. I've said it many times in RL, and now I'll say it on here. From my experience, I've noticed that it is easy to go up in the world (as in going from small towns to large cities). You've got more convieniences, everything is closer, you can depend on public transportation, ect. But it is VERY hard to go down in the world (large city to small town). Why? All the convieniences you're used to are suddenly taken away. The store around the corner isn't around the corner anymore, you need a vehicle to get there. You can't take public transportation there, there is none. Thats probably why I hated PEI so much, it's cos I went from biggest city to smallest province. If I was born and raised on PEI, I probably would've loved it there, and I'd probably be as much of a 'mindless automaton' as they all are. But, as I said, there are exceptions...
That is one reason why I was a bit of an outcast on PEI, I refused to go down to their level, so I became the disliked minority of sorts....Small towns, not the place for me :)

Each to there own. Ive lived in all 3
London (big)
Wrangle (tiny village miles from anywhere)
Boston (mid sized town)
all have there own pro's and Cons. I personally prefer the mid size town. I get the "comfort" of a smaller town but 40 mins down the road (25 by my driving) is a good sized city (peterborough) for the additional convieninces. I dont think u will ever get a perfect balance. They have tried it here with new towns like Milton Keynes and Stevange but it just dosnt work::.(

Well, if I was to move it I'd have to go to all of the work of editing out the flames in both me and muffins first few posts...and yes, I have that power now :D
Personally I perfer the suberb of about 150 000 which is 30 minutes from the huge city....It's not as overwhelming as the big city, but it still has all the convieniences, with alot less of the big city annoyances...
